Checkpoints for shop floor management

Shop Floor Check Points:



1. Operators :
   Check all operators working in the shop should be as per Skill Matrix. Also check their skill level as per required level for the job.

2. Operation Standard :
     Check that the OPS/WI  should be available on each machine & easy to view, read & in local language ( Hindi,Marathi etc.)

3. Limit Samples:
       Check that the Limit Sample should be available of each parts & also check expiry date of  limit samples.

4Set up Approval:
     Check that set up approval done of each machine with sign,date & approval report. Also keep  the sample on machine at defined location for the shift.

5Red Bins:
      Check that red bin should be available on each machine. Also check red marking is done on NG parts lying in the red bin.

6. Material Location & Identification:
     All parts ( RM, WIP & FG) should be located separately. There should be no mixing of part. Also check that identification tags should be available on each parts with complete information.

7. Similar Parts Control Mechanism:
    All types of similar parts like Left/ Right parts, similar looking parts should be stored in        different colored bins, tags, boxes etc. So that no mixing of similar parts should happen.

8. Instrument & Gauge storage:
       All the instruments should be stored in boxes & also check gauges are properly stored in       racks. Also check Calibration sticker on instruments & validation sticker on gauges.

9. Lux Level Monitoring: 
       Check lux level in shop floor as per standard. There should be 700 lux level in final  inspection area. Also Lux Meter should be available.

10. Daily Machine Check Sheets:
        On each machine daily machine check sheet should be available & updated. Also operator should be aware about all points.

11. 4 M Change Board:
          4 M change board should be updated & all related records should be updated.

12. Abnormal Situation:
     Check that abnormal situations are displayed in shop floor. Also all associates should be aware about the abnormal situations.

13. Rework Area:
      Check that separate rework area should available. Rework responsible person should defined & display. Also maintain rework record with traceability.

14. Tools & Fixtures :
        All the tools & fixtures should be stored properly in Racks. Also Identification of tools should be done properly with color coding. 

15. Bins & Trolley:
      Check that Bins & Trolleys condition are OK & all bins / Trolleys should be clean.
