There are 2 sections in handling Management.

1. Bin &Trolley management

2. Packing Standard


Bin & Trolley Management:


In this chapter we will learn how to maintain Bins & Trolley in a good condition in WIP & FG. We have to maintain cleaning records on daily basis. Also we have to maintain repairing record of trolleys. Below points should consider for Bins & Trolleys management.

 Work Instruction for checking & Cleaning Bins & Trolleys.

 Work Instruction for repairing Bins & trolleys.

 Display Bins & Trolley check points at the point of cleaning.

 Water & other cleaning facility should be available at the point of cleaning.



Packing Standard :




Packing standard are the packing style for a specific part with defined quantity.
Purpose of Packing standard to prevent damage of parts during handling & transportation.
Below points to be consider for designing the packing standard.
 Parts for packing ( Part size,shape etc)
 No of parts
 Weight of parts
 Size & Type of Bins for packing
 Trolley for packing
 Polythene etc.

Packing Standard must be approved by the customer.
Also packing standard should be display in packing area.

Checkpoints for shop floor management

Shop Floor Check Points: 1. Operators :     Check all operators working in the shop should be as per Skill Matrix. Also check their skill level as per required level for the job. 2. Operation Standard :       Check that the OPS/WI  should be available on each machine & easy to view, read & in local language ( Hindi,Marathi etc.) 3.  Limit Samples:         Check that the Limit Sample should be available of each parts & also check expiry date of  limit samples. 4 .  Set up Approval:      Check that set up approval done of each machine with sign,date & approval report.
